Kunming's largest wet market (Zhuanxin Old Street Market 篆新农贸市场) is a sprawling traditional market featuring Yunnan-specific ingredients you won't find elsewhere: fresh mushrooms, edible flowers, mountain herbs, ethnic minority specialty produce, and live freshwater fish.

This 4-hour experience starts at the wet market — you'll shop ingredients under guidance from a local foodie, then walk to a local culinary school for a 1.5-hour hands-on cooking class.
